她坦言自己以前就是一個照著課本讀書的學生，但是現在想要告訴教育當局，學生的學習與教育不是為了分數或學歷。「歷史的教育要讓我們得到的，是一個真正認識台灣這塊土地的機會。我們不是要求台獨的史觀，但是每一個青年都有權力知道所有故事的全貌，那麼我們才有辦法去選擇我們要的未來，不是嗎？」
她表示站出來反對課綱是希望的是未來從台灣走出去的每一個青年，都可以了解這塊土地上曾經發生過的故事。希望我們可以了解，成就現在台灣民主社會，每一位前輩所曾經流下的血水和汗水。
